About Us

Otra Vez is Spanish for again, or another time. At Otra Vez we believe in giving everyone & everything a second chance.

All the products featured at Otra Vez contain salvaged, recycled, or vintage materials,  and are made using socially conscious and sustainable practices.

10% of our net proceeds directly support women and children’s charities.

Jessica Salazar

Jessica Salazar, Owner/Designer

Otra Vez owner and lead designer Jessica Salazar is a Washington native, born and raised on a small farm in Skagit Valley with her three brothers and amazing parents.

Otra Vez encompasses much of what Jessica is passionate about; giving back to local and global communities, conscious and sustainable living, and beautiful creations. She feels so blessed to be able to express herself creatively as an artist, and to make a difference and a living, all at the same time.

Kathleen Warren

Kathleen Florence Warren, Artist outreach

Kathleen was born and raised in South Carolina, and currently rests her head in Seattle, but feels strangely connected to the people of Holland. She is the Program Director at a local non-profit; however, her greatest skill has been and will always be: making friends with wonderful women who make jewelry.

You’ll know she believes in you as soon as she begs to host a party for you, because nothing makes her happier than seeing emerging artists grow (especially when they do it sustainably and also donate to non-profits as they do!)

She is elated to be part of Otra Vez’s new endeavors to support more women and artists through jewelry design.

Jennifer

Jennifer Maines, Otra Vez Social Media Intern

Jennifer is a proud Seattle native who loves taking advantage of what this city has to offer, whether it’s the next up and coming neighborhood art walk, urban park, or cupcake shop. She’s spent the last six years of her life happily working in museums and before that volunteered in galleries and film festivals when she had the chance. Currently she manages the membership and marketing programs at a Seattle-area museum. She loves getting the word out and promoting things that are innovative, artistic and socially/environmentally responsible and is very excited to help in this area for Otra Vez.

Also slightly obsessed with and inspired by design and fashion, she’s excited to be able to work for a company that blends both of these things with giving back to the community and supporting non-profits, something that’s very important to her!

Mandesia Sibiya

Mandesia Sibiya, Otra Vez Intern

Mandesia Sibiya has grown up in the city  of Seattle and is currently a student at Nova High School.  Mandesia has always enjoyed watching the way people pull outfits together, whether it’s with a cute pair of earrings or necklace that completes someone’s ensemble. City bus rides is where she does most of her fashion observing. She finds the bus a great place to contemplate and admire people’s style from a distance. Besides fashion, Mandesia also holds great interest in film, music, and social justice. She is excited to be working with Otra Vez because she’s been a long time fan of their work and the message of hope and inspiration they are sending to women. Mandesia is thrilled to be a part of Otra Vez’s artistic processes and loves exploring the depths of her own creativity in the fashion world.

Waston Richmond

Easton Richmond, Photographer

A native of Portland, Oregon, Easton Richmond graduated from the University of Washington in 2005 with degrees in Communications and Social Sciences.  Following work in a Seattle area advertising agency, Easton began life as a traveling winemaker, working harvests in wineries in Oregon (twice), Australia, Argentina and New Zealand.  His travel and work revitalized a love of photography and in July 2010, Easton enrolled at the Art Institute of Seattle where he intends to graduate with a BFA in Photography.

Easton enjoys working with everyone at Otra Vez very much and is a huge believer in Otra Vezs’ ‘second chance’ credo. He also very much enjoys working and spending time with others who are passionate about their work and seeks to inspire peers in a similar way.
